The Martingale System
The Martingale is probably the most talked-about roulette strategy in the world — and it's straightforward: after every loss, you double your bet. The logic is that when you eventually win, you recover all your losses plus a profit equal to your original stake. For example, start at Rs 200 on Red. If it loses, bet Rs 400. Lose again, Rs 800. When you finally win, you're back to profit.

It's manageable with a decent bankroll and works best on even-money bets. The key is to set a stop-loss — decide before you sit down how much you're prepared to lose, and walk away when you hit it.
The Fibonacci System
Based on the famous mathematical sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21…), the Fibonacci system tells you to move one step forward in the sequence after a loss, and two steps back after a win. You only apply it to even-money bets like Red/Black or Odd/Even. It's more conservative than Martingale because the bet sizes escalate more slowly.
Many players on netpkr find this system easier to manage over a longer session — the swings are smaller, and you don't need as large a bankroll to absorb a losing streak. It won't make you rich quickly, but it extends your playing time significantly.
The D'Alembert System
Named after 18th-century French mathematician Jean le Rond d'Alembert, this system increases your bet by one unit after a loss and decreases it by one unit after a win. It's one of the gentlest progression systems available — the swings are predictable and the bankroll requirement is manageable for most players on netpkr's tables.
The underlying assumption is that outcomes will eventually balance out. In practice, roulette is a game of independent spins and no number "owes" you a win — but D'Alembert is a sensible way to structure your session if you're not comfortable with the more aggressive Martingale approach.
Flat Betting – The Underrated Approach
Flat betting means placing the same amount every single spin — no doubling, no progression, no system. It sounds boring but it's actually one of the most rational approaches to roulette from a bankroll management perspective. You know exactly how much you can lose before your session ends, and there's no risk of a runaway progression wiping you out in five bad spins.
